Domaine Heitz-Lochardet, Pommard 1er Cru Monopole, Clos des Poutures 2015

MOP 715.00

This is a monopole vineyard that sits right in the heart of Pommard to the south of the village. It is a genuine clos with Poutures totalling 2/3rds of a hectare. Strongly aromatic with flowers and fresh herbs, it shows very dainty tannins and a really pretty fruit character. Lightish in colour, (stems do take colour from wine) it is a very feminine and very delightful Pommard.

Description

“Domaine Heitz-Lochardet is a new estate, run by the youthful Armand Heitz, with vines inherited from his mother and passed down through the generations. Armand has now taken charge of the vines, making wine from grapes that were previously sold to large négociants. His first vintage is 2013.
At just 27 years old, Armand is young and extremely talented winemaker who has received rave reviews for his very first vintage, which was a very tough one in Burgundy, and a name to watch out for in the coming years.”
